Schlacht von Hastings

(Pardon me for writing in English.) The book "A History of England under the Norman Kings" does not say that William was at the Battle of Hastings. It does mention William, but only on page 283, in the chapter about the First Crusade. I don't know what "The Domesday Book - English Heritage Then and Now" says, but I'm sure it does not mention this William. Adam Bishop 04:22, 19. Mai 2009 (CEST)

Thanks for the link, I removed the part about the battle of Hastings. Guillaume de Melun was not a very important nobleman, the Nobiliaire universel de France does not list him as Vicomte or Comte [on page 274f], his brother had the title. Robert der Mönch uses him as an example for someone who is invincible but a coward and mentions him as a relative of Hugo von Vermandois but he does not call him Vicomte or Comte either [page 19 + 62. Erwähnung des Thomas von Marle

Ich habe die Erwähnung von Thomas von Marle (genannt der rasende Wolf) als Rädelsführer bei den Judenpogromen im Rheinland 1096 erstmal entfernt. Auch wenn Thomas zweifellos ein streitsüchtiger Schurke gewesen sein mag, finde ich keine Quellenhinweise auf dessen Beteiligung an den Aktionen Emichos und Guillaumes.--Herrgott 15:24, 25.
