<p>IE 6 does not display the red box on the right of the screen.
<p>Every other browser on earth does, and that's not a surprise because this
page only uses trivial CSS techniques from the 1990s. So we see that IE 6
was <b>already broken even when it was released in 2001</b>.
<p>Because of this silly bug, <b>all thumbnails and infoboxes are currently
invisible to IE 6 users</b> in the German Wikipedia. The only reason such a
major breakage did not happen before is that people used to spend hours and
hours of their lives looking for workarounds. But those times are gone.
<p>Even if this IE 6 bug might eventually get worked around, such breakages
<b>will happen again and again</b> because noone is seriously testing CSS
changes in IE 6 anymore. In the "disappearing images at dewiki" case, it
happened because an implicit and undocumented workaround was dropped while
cleaning the code from nonsensical declarations.
<p>IE 6 users are therefore urgently advised to finally switch away from
this crap browser! Some day you will have to switch anyway, why not now?
