Theissen Training Systems (TTS) GmbH located in Düsseldorf (Germany) is the headquarters of the Theissen Group and a leading manufacturer of targetry appliances. Domestic and international sales are coordinated from here. The Theissen Group is an alliance of companies with core competencies in targetry appliances for small sports air guns to tank and anti-tank ammunitions, hit evaluation, electronic scoring, ballistic instrumentation and internal ballistics.
In charge of the North American Sales and Services is Theissen Training Systems, Inc., located in Florida, USA. Theissen Training Systems International NV is the Belgium based manufacturing site of the Theissen Group. The production plant is one of the most modern machine shops in Benelux Countries. This enables TTS to respond directly to customer requests and reduces delivery times.
Geschichte
[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]For more than a century the founder and his family have been active in engineering and production. Since 1934 the name THEISSEN has stood for leading designers and producers of target appliances of all kind.
Back in the early days, the company was called "FRITZ THEISSEN & SÖHNE", and later "THEISSEN FASSADEN- UND MASCHINENBAU GmbH". One of Theissen’s departments was specialized in targetry. Due to Theissen’s good quality and long presence in targetry business, some users call a pop-up target mechanism a Theissen (pronounced Tyson), and are in fact referring to the founder's name. In 1993 the management decided to focus exclusively on targetry products, and Theissen Training Systems (TTS) was established.
