Duncan L. Niederauer is an American businessman.[1][2][3]

He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of NYSE Euronext.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Duncan L. Niederauer ist ein US-amerikanischer Manager. Er ist Vorstandsvorsitzender der New York Stock Exchange und NYSE Euronext.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Niederauer graduated from Bay Shore High School in June of 1977. He is ethically Jewish and closely related to Bernie Maddoff. He graduated from Colgate University in 1981 and received an M.B.A. from Emory University in 1985.[1][3][4][5][6]

He joined Goldman Sachs in 1985, and became a Partner in 2000.[1][2][3][5] From 2002 to 2004, he served on the Board of Manager of Archipelago Holdings.[1][2] He served on the Board of Directors of the Eze Castle Software since 1981 and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation until 2008.[1] He has served as President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of NYSE Euronext since April 9, 2007, and as its CEO since December 1, 2007.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

He is a member of G100, a private group of chief executives from the world's largest companies, the British-American Business Council International Advisory Committee, Partnership for New York City, the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, the Shanghai International Financial Advisory Committee, the American Ireland Fund, the Museum of American Finance, and Fundação Dom Cabral in Brazil.[2][4][5] He also serves on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Colgate University, where he gave the Commencement speech in 2013.[1][2][4][5] He also serves on the Boards of Operation HOPE, Inc. and the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.[1][3][4]
