New Article

Yes i wanted to thank you again for helping me with Wikipedia and for being here. I hope you got back well to Bondoukou. I also wrote my first Article (its rather short but I chose a short topic on purpose). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megaponera

Yes, that what I mean. Now we have a problem. In the english Wikipedia there is an article about this ant with the name Pachycondyla analis. It can not be 2 articles about the smae subject. What you need to do is to copy your article to the old one. I will redirect your name to the old one. You need to open a section in the talk page of the old article suggesting to change the name and you must give a reason for it. And than we have to wait a little bit for responses. Yes i have seen the article, although the article i wrote is about the genus not the species therefore it is not exactly the same. I am working on a longer better article about the species in my sandbox https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:ETF89/sandbox and when its finished i want to edit the existing article. I have a problem. I want to put this picture/map in my Sandbox article under the point Distribution but since its not on commons i dont know how to do it. http://www.antwiki.org/wiki/File:Megaponera_Distribution.png#filehistory

ETF89, if it is not the same article it is ok. I know almost nothing about ants. You need to know that when you write a new article part of the editing is to look in others wikipedias to see if the article is exist there and do the interwiki.

About the map: since this the lisence of this map is "Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike" you can upload it to Commons and give the credit to the Antwiki by linking to the original map.

About your sandbox: since the article now is realy very very short, you do not need to write anything about it in the talk page. Just open the existing article for edit and copy your sand box. ETF89, I saw what you wrote in the talk page of the article. I suggest that you will wait for 1 week and if no one will answer there, you can change the name of the article. I am not sure if this is the way to do it in English Wikipedia, but I realy do not believe that there are many users that know a lot about ants.

Well the articles name has been changed and an admin actually nominated it for a DYK https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Did_you_know_nominations/Megaponera_analis . :-) Thanks for your help, next I will write a long and complete article about the Comoé National park (although that will take more time since for the article about the ants I already knew everything before).--ETF89 (Diskussion) 12:46, 19. Hi ETF89, I do not know what is DYK. I so also that the article name was changed. Comoé National park is really entitled to have a good article. Even in Hebrew Wiki the article is better. Sorry I forgot that in Hebrew Wikipedia it probably has a different name :) DYK is Did you know and those are articles posted on the main page of Wikipedia (it has already been accepted). I also got a writers barnstar by one of the admins for my work on megaponera analis. Thanks for uploading pictures about the Comoé, always good to have some options to illustrate the article :)

Thank you very much. In the Hebrew Wikipedia we receive all the pictures that the spokesperson of the President of the State of Israel sends to the press. We have an OTRS permit that I arranged with them in 2014. All the pictures related to this horrible war, sent from the President's spokesperson, can be found in Category:Isaac Herzog during the 2023 Israel–Hamas war.
