Hi QBay,

you might think about putting template User de-0 on your user page – this might keep people from posting in German on your talk page. Cheers & thanks for your contributions --dealerofsalvation 06:19, 23. Jun. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Thanks. I do. --QBay 06:25, 23. Jun. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

pictures from Frankonia

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Hello QBay,

you asked me for some fotos from Germany. May I give you just an example for some of my own fotos? Here we are:

part of the town wall of Feuchtwangen

Please tell me: what are your ideas? What sort of pictures would you prefer?

a picture of the famous Riepp-organ in Ottobeuren

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Hello QBay,

I didn´t forget about the fotos of the franconian towns, but today I recognized you wrote about Silbermann and perhaps you are also interested in some fotos of organs. I had the pleasure last year to play on the famous 4-manual Riepp-organ in Ottobeuren and I´ve got a foto:

Spieltisch der Riepporgel Ottobeuren

--Metzner 06:29, 30. Jul. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello, Metzner. You play organ ?! Great !! By the way, How can you know I wrote about Silbermann ? Yes, I'm interested in classic music. But I don't know much about organ. Gottfried Silbermann is one of the most famous organ-builders in Japan because of his relationship to J.S.Bach. So, even I know his name. Thank you for good photo of the organ. And I long to your photos of the towns in Franken. Regards! --QBay 17:01, 30. Jul. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello QBay,

well - I visited your japanese discussion, switched to the german version and found the name of ( Gottfried ) Silbermann. Do you know, that exists another famous Silbermann? It is Andreas S. and he was nearly quite perfect as an organ builder, but in France, especially in Alsace and Strassbourg and other towns. Yes, I like playing the organ and especially I like playing big organs. Once or twice in a month a play the organ in Dinkelsbuehl minster. It is quite a big one and has 58 stops. What a sound ! Well - we had a lot of rain and bad weather and so I could not make any nice fotos from towns in Franconia. But I hope it will become better middle of the week. And you will get some fotos! greetings --Metzner 22:02, 30. Jul. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello, Metzner,
Yes. I know Adreas Silbermann, who was Gottfried's elder brother and teacher. I've wrote an article of Andreas (ja:アンドレアス・ジルバーマン), too. But there are (almost) no reference for him in Japan. So I just put the German article into Japanese. The article is brief one, sorry. Regards --QBay 02:22, 31. Jul. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello QBay,

You have a lot of information about this family !! I´m very impressed. I think you have more information to other german organ builders than I have! But if you have any questions I will help you as I am very interested in those matters since my schooltime.

fotos from Franken

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Hello QBay, this is the first list of fotos, I have placed on commons. I hope you can work with those images. If there is any problem or you have some question, just give me a hint. I hope you enjoy it !!! Most of the fotos are in Franken.

Vielen Danke, Metzner for excellent photos. I've made gallery. It is hard to choose photos to use because all of them are wanderful. I'll use some of them and they shall make my poor articles better. Thank you very much !! Mm? You wrote "the first list". Do you have additional ones ? ---QBay 17:03, 31. Jul. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello QBay, here comes a second part: two fotos from Dinkelsbuehl on a sunday, when I played the organ there. All the other fotos are from the village where my wife is from - near Coburg and not far from Bamberg and last not least from Roettingen/Tauber, where we bought this year a small house, which is attached to the Schneckenturm. But we will have to renovate it. Well that´s all for today and good night to Japan --Metzner 00:05, 1. Aug. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

List #2:

Thank you very much! The article of Michelau in Oberfranken in ja-wiki was written by me. (The photo of Scheune+Bretter is very interesting for a simple half-thimber building.) This article is very brief one. If you (and your wife) would improve that in de-wiki (especially, the section of "Kultur und Sehenswürdigkeiten"), it must be great help for me. I have not written about Unterfranken, yet. I'll try it someday. Regards! --QBay 01:57, 1. Aug. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello QBay,

yes, this Scheune+Bretter image is very typical for simple half-timbered buildings in Franken. I´ll try to make some pictures in the next months. So you can use them. By the way: we will have guests from Japan in the end of August. It is my friend Koichi Sunaga and his wife. They visit Europe nearly every year. Perhaps I can show him your articles in ja-wiki. He is professor for German Language in Tokio. My best greetings --Metzner 06:50, 1. Aug. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello Qbay,

today I met an old friend from Bayreuth and we visited Dinkelsbuehl. I took my camera with me and the September sun helped to make some nice pictures. I hope you will enjoy them! PLease wait some minutes: first I will give them all correct names! greetings --Metzner 14:23, 20. Sep. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello, I had some trouble with the uploading - sorry Best greetings --Metzner 16:23, 20. Sep. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Let me try again:

List #3:

Thank you, Metzner. The photoes say that you enjoyed the trip to Dinkelsbühl. It's a beautiful city along Romantische Straße. There are many wonderful cities around your homecity, off course also your city itself. Thanks for your excellent photos. Regards! --QBay 17:04, 20. Sep. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello QBay, today three new fotos from Wassertrüdingen und Ruffenhofen greetings --Metzner 06:24, 22. Okt. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Thank you, Metzner. I use them for Japnese articles of the each town. Regards! --QBay 16:40, 22. Okt. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hi QBay, I saw the Wassertrüdingen-Foto in your japanese article and now I´m looking for Ruffenhofen in >Weiltingen<. On Wednesday I will be in Lichtenfels for one day, but I fear not to have enough time to take any picture. It´s a shame. greetings to Japan --Metzner 19:58, 22. Okt. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello Metzner. The Japanese page of Weiltingen is ja:ヴァイルティンゲン. Never mind about Lichtenferls' photo and enjoy your trip. Regards! --QBay 17:15, 23. Okt. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello QBay, I visited the Japanese page of Weiltingen and saw the foto of the old church. Well, that´s fine . You will get some fotos whenever it is time enough to make a trip in Frankonia. Good night to Japan! --Metzner 00:15, 26. Okt. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello QBay, today I took another picture of Dinkelsbühl: one of the three huge grain stores from 16. century. Nowadays used as a magazine for the equiment of the famous "Kinderzeche". Todays weather: -2° C, dry without snow. greetings from Germany --Metzner 20:53, 17. Dez. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

Luebeck as well?

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Hello, next week we travel to Luebeck and I want to take a lot of pictures because it´s our first visit! Are you interested to get some of them? greetings --Metzner 07:07, 29. Sep. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

Hello, Metzner. Sorry for my late response. Now, I have no plan to write the article of Luebeck. But your photos must be useful for other users worldwide. So, I hope you upload them to Wikimedia-Commons. Thank you. Regards. --QBay 07:03, 1. Okt. 2007 (CEST)Beantworten

what about Lauf an der Pegnitz or Kalchreuth or Neunhof?

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Hello QBay, I had two days in Nuremberg and visited those towns/villages near the famous "Knoblauchsland" ( = garlic country ) and found them quite picturesque. Are you interested? --Metzner 00:21, 25. Nov. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

Hello, Metzner. This is the first time to hear "Knoblauchsland". I'd like to write about Nürnberg and Fürth because of the little articles in ja-wikipedia. I'm interested in the area. Thanks for your information. --QBay 01:18, 25. Nov. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

good morning QBay: now I´m going to play organ for the sunday service in Dinkelsbühl and afterwards I can show some of my pictures! --Metzner 07:30, 25. Nov. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

well: I´m back from Dinkelsbühl! The name "Knoblauchsland" comes from the farming. They grow a lot of vegetables in this area: salad, Kraut, Porree, Asparagus etc. It is a very fertile soil. Now let me start a new gallery:

Thank you, Metzner. They are very interesting photos. The Castle in the first photo has a very unique Form. The upper story is lager than the lower one! I've enjoyed your photos. Thank you. --QBay 15:21, 25. Nov. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

Hello QBay, now the gallery is becoming bigger! Kalchreuth is especially interesting, because it still exists a drawing or aquarelle ( ? ) by Albrecht Dürer. I think you get the "old version" in Google. Please let me know. My best geetings to Japan! --Metzner 13:03, 26. Nov. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

...some minutes later: here is a link ( in German ) with Dürers paintings from about 1500: the name of the village was then Kalkrewt. http://www.fraenkischer-albverein.de/jubilaeum/kalchreuth/kalchreuth.htm --Metzner 13:07, 26. Nov. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

fotos from Sulzfeld am Main ?

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Hello QBay, I´m not quite sure whether this site is valid or not. Today I had a trip to Sulzfeld am Main. My question is: are you interested in my pictures from there? I will choose the best of about 30. Please give me just a short note. Best regards --Metzner 21:50, 10. Feb. 2008 (CET)Beantworten
