"The core Vertigo titles had already become their own little enclave in the early '90's," Berger states. "I had just come back from maternity leave and Jenette Kahn and (Executive Editor) Dick Giordano asked what I wanted to do with the titles I was editing. We talked a lot about the creative direction of the titles and the impact that they had in the market. We decided to create a separate imprint for them, a rare thing to do in those days, and to actively expand this sensibility. I came up with a publishing plan for the imprint, the Vertigo name and then we worked on acquiring many new projects. Vertigo is successful because of the many talented writers and artists who created so much quality material. We had a good game plan, a solid marketing plan and a lot of series in the can before we even launched. At that time a lot of people were surprised that we had so much together and that we were constantly doing new stuff. Sie haben darüber gesprochen, aber ich lese darin nicht, dass Giordano gemeinsam mit Karin Berger das DC-Imprint Vertigo ins Leben rief. Auch auf http://dickgiordano.com/dikbio.htm wird das nicht erwähnt. Während K. Berger, natürlich nachvollziehbar wegen ihrer Tätigkeit, an etlichen Stellen in Zusammenhang mit Vertigo genannt wird, ist das bei Giordano nicht der Fall. --Lyzzy 18:04, 20. Okt. 2007 (CEST)

Ähm bitte genau llesen "We DECIDED to create a sparate imprint for them...", sie haben also eben nicht nur darüber gesprochen sondern Nägeln mit Köpfen gemacht und gemeinsam den Beschluss gefasst, ein neues Imprint (eben Vertigo) für solche Serien ins Leben zu rufen. Das Berger als zuständige Redakteurin für das Vertigo-Segment die Day-to-Day-Aufgaben die dort anfielen übernahm, während Giordano als leitender Mann des gesamten Verlages mit einzelnen Details weniger zu tun hatte sondern vor allem damit beschäftig war den Gesamtbetrieb am Laufen zu erhalten, ist klar, aber es waren Eben Kahn, Levitz und Giordano die Berger u.a. den Auftrag gaben die Spate der Erwachsenen-COmics bei DC auszubauen und zu strukturieren - was dann eben im Vertigo-Label gipfelte --Zsasz 20:09, 20.
