Why in russian?
[Quelltext bearbeiten]Карлис Индрикович Улманис - why in Russian, if he was Latvian??? (nicht signierter Beitrag von Kurlandlegionar (Diskussion | Beiträge) 19:59, 30. Aug. 2010 (CEST))
- this is not a question of ethnicity. Ulmanis was born and raised in Imperial Russia, he died after the Soviet occupation of his homeland. During both periods his name was officially Карлис Индрикович Улманис. best regards. --Gf1961 08:39, 31. Aug. 2010 (CEST)
- Ok, now I understand. --Kurlandlegionar 09:59, 11. Sep. 2010 (CEST)
- Because he was send to the Gulag. --MrKPB (Diskussion) 15:28, 28. Okt. 2022 (CEST)
- You are answering a question from 12+ years ago. The Russian version of the name isn't in the article anymore. (Might be there, tho, not because of Gulag but because he was a Russian Empire citizen (national language, well, Russian) for about 40 years. --AMGA 🇺🇦 (d) 16:59, 28. Okt. 2022 (CEST)
