[Quelltext bearbeiten]Wieso Klovharu, wenn es auf Finnisch Klovaharun ist? Was ist überhaupt Klovharu für eine Sprachversion? NNW 18:50, 23. Dez. 2015 (CET)
- All the variants of the name are Svedish language. As I am not native speakers of Swedish , I do not know what is the difference between the name variants. The variants given in the article of fiwiki occured in the sources, i. e. the basic map (where the names have been checked and normalised by place name experts), a newspaper article in Finnish, and from the title of the book written by Tove Jansson and Tuulikki Pietilä (the bok has been also translated in finnish with same title). I have read also the book but do not remember if there was any further information about the name. In general I know that there may be different variants of place names due to, for example, dialect forms of the names and how the dialect forms are normalised for official use for example in maps but as a native speaker of Finnish I can say nothing about this particular place name.--Urjanhai (Diskussion) 19:40, 23. Ein andere Bemerkung: Pellinge ist keine Gemeinde sondern ein grosses Insel (und ein Dorf auf dem insel) in der nähe von Porvoo / Borgå.--Urjanhai (Diskussion) 19:44, 23. Dez. 2015 (CET)
- Do you know any map with the name of the island? I have got two questions: why a Swedish name? Swedish is a minority language in Finland, so Finnish has to be language which should be used as long as there is no Swedish majority which settles there. And second: why „Klovharu“ (without „n“) in the beginning of the article, but „Klovharun“ later? NNW 19:47, 23. Dez. 2015 (CET)
- A map can be found here: [1]. In this particular part of Finland (the coast area of the Uusimaa region) there really happens to be (in some municipalities) a or at least has been recently (in some municipalities) a Swedish speaking majority, and especially many smaller Islands even do not have a Finnish language name. In the article Finnlandschweden there is a map. From the map it can be seen that in Porvoo there is now a slight Finnish speaking majority but as it says at least in fi:Porvoo only a few decades ago the majority was swedish speaking, and therefore old place names especially in the outer archipelago tend to be solely in Swedish language. Some of the bigger islands may have both swedish and finnish names, but some have only swedish names. In the mainland most villages seem to have both swedish and finnish names. And because the majority language in Porvoo currently happens to be Finnish, the Finnish names seem to be written above the swedish names in the bilingual map.--Urjanhai (Diskussion) 21:24, 2. - On the different ways of the spelling of the swedish name I cannot give any answer, because as a native speaker of Finnish I only have learnt swedish at school and the spelling of the place names exceeds the language skills taught at school.--Urjanhai (Diskussion) 21:27, 2. Feb. 2016 (CET)
- I happened to find an article with maps on how place names in different languages are distributed in Finnish basic map in a large scale: [2]. --Urjanhai (Diskussion) 19:44, 8. Dez. 2017 (CET)
