Fritz C. Neumann
[Quelltext bearbeiten]Re: "Die Schulen am Gardasee"
Hello,
My grandfather, Fritz C. Neumann, taught at the "Villa Jacobi" in Gardone Riviera. I even have a picture of the place. He discusses (briefly) his experiences teaching there in his memoirs (written in English), which are held by the Hoover Institution (Stanford University) and in the German Historical Institute at Washington, D.C. He also taught at the Landschulheim Florenz in 1936.
It is also described in a brief, unpublished English-language recollection by my mother, the poet Lisel Mueller.
In addition, I have a letter he wrote from Gardone Riviera (in German) to my mother, then a teenager in Hamburg, which describes the curriculum he was teaching to his students.
Unfortunately, my German writing skills are not good enough to post these comments in German, nor would I be competent to amend the article.

- thx
- I got the idea and started with a wikipedia stub on your mother Lisel Mueller.
- By the time you can try to improve the English version en:Lisel Mueller, or better you should do that. But, editing in Wikipedia has got it's own rules and ridicules ... ...
- Concerning Fritz C. Neumann I found out this article.
