I noticed this article was linked from the English page. I'll suggest that neither article should be included in Wikipedia, but don't know the specific policies that would be used to delete it.

The problem is that this is likely a myth. There is no way that the information in the story could have been known - In other words, there are internal contradictions in the story. There is really only one "reliable source" related to this story. The famous American historian Frances Parkman included a short paragraph on it in one of his books in the 1880s without any evidence or footnotes indicating where he got the story from. The paragraph disappeared in later editions, probably in the next edition of the book. But the story has been repeated in short paragraphs in a couple more modern books. I learned of the "event" as a schoolchild. BUT, the 1885 monument dedication was boycotted by the local school board, the Pennsylvania Monument and Historical Commission and the National Register of Historic Places effectively boycott the place by not mentioning it at all, anywhere.

I have seen other stories about Native Americans killing settlers in the same county during the French and Indian Wars or Pontiac's Rebellion, and they strike me as believable. This incident is simply not believable and is likely pure propaganda or boosterism. At best the wording should be "xx said that ..." and "yyy reports that ...", but really the article should just be deleted.

Absurde Behauptung

Wegen solcher Überfälle führte das Parlament von Pennsylvania wieder Kopfprämien für Indianer ein; solche Prämien waren bereits während des Französisch-Indianischen Krieges angeboten worden. Wohl eher ein Vorwand, um den Feind zu entmenschlichen. Kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass eine ähnliche Reaktion gekommen wäre, wenn die Täter weiß gewesen wären..
