Deletion
[Quelltext bearbeiten]Hi,
Sorry, i don't know German, but i can understand a word or two.
The information about so-called "400 million speakers" is meaningless - it all comes from the website slovio.com , which belongs to the language creators. There are no trustworthy external sources about it.
This article was deleted from the English Wikipedia, see the discussion here: en:Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Slovio (2nd nomination). The discussion was serious and the result was Delete. From what i heard, the German Wikipedia is even more serious about quality and sources.
I can't nominate it myself for deletion, because i don't know German and i don't want to make a fool of myself and do something wrong in the nomination process.
Thanks for your attention. --Amir E. Aharoni 08:14, 13. Aug. 2007 (CEST)
- "400 million persons, who could understand Slovio". That's something different. --Immanuel Giel 10:00, 13. Aug. 2007 (CEST)
- And who exactly counted them?
- If someone invents a language which is the same as German, but without Umlauts, Subjunctive verbs or Genitive case, then it will be simple to learn and 100 million people who know German will probably understand this language, too, but it won't make it notable, until someone actually will learn it and use it.
- And who uses Slovio? --Amir E. Aharoni 10:47, 13. Aug. 2007 (CEST)
400 000 000?
[Quelltext bearbeiten]"[creator] believes up to 400 million people worldwide could understand it without having to learn it first" It is very unreliable source. I suggest to find better estimate and delete this marketing. (I am unable to edit this, as I know nothing about this language). -- Bulwersator 08:43, 15. Apr. 2011 (CEST)
