Stadtpräfektur

Im Artikel heißt es lapidar: „Dionysios nennt ihn auch im Zusammenhang mit der Diktatur des Titus Larcius...“ Die betreffende Stelle lautet in englischer Übersetzung: „After that he separated those who were of military age from the older men, and distributing the former into centuries, he formed four bodies of foot and horse, of which he kept one, the best, about his person, while of the remaining three bodies, he ordered Cloelius, who had been his colleague in the consulship, to choose the one he wished, Spurius Cassius, the Master of the Horse, to take the third, and Spurius Larcius, his brother, the remaining one; this last body together with the older men was ordered to guard the city, remaining inside the walls.“ (Dion. Hal. V,75,4: Quelle) Bei Sebastian Ruciński, Praefectus Urbi. Le Gardien de l'ordre public à Rome sous le Haut-Empire Romain, Poznań 2009, S. 219, erscheint Spurius Larcius daher als Stadtpräfekt für das Jahr 498. Bei T. Robert S. Broughton, The magistrates of the Roman Republic 1, New York 1951, ist er dagegen nicht zu finden. Die Quelle formuliert den Sachverhalt ja auch reichlich unklar; Spurius Larcius solle mit seiner Truppe „die Stadt bewachen“. Diese Formulierung wird in anderen Fällen jedoch auch von Broughton als Indiz für eine Stadtpräfektur gesehen, so bei Dion. Hal. VI,2,3 für das Jahr 496 (online) in Bezug auf Aulus Sempronius Atratinus. Lässt sich das mit weiterer Fachliteratur klären? --Der Maxdorfer (Diskussion \ Bewertung) 18:53, 17. Mai 2015 (CEST)
