What exactly is the purpose of cinema-lists, taken from wikidata? They are unusual and not wanted in the german language Wikipedia. Thanks--Emergency doc (D) 10:09, 12. Feb. 2020 (CET)
- Hi, The purpose is to translate the list of active cells of Kino, which is an organization that is present in more than 15 countries, and in particular in 3 cities in Germany.
- It a movement of people that do short movies, to enable young people to get experience in movie making. But you can read all this in the English page of Kino.
- The elements in WD were created by me, in order to easy the translation in the 4 most used languages in Kino.
- So this is current and validated data, and WD was just a step to produce that.
- Note that my contribution was part of a wiki activity in Montreal to add cultural informations to Wikimedia (WP & WD).
- Does that clarifies the process?

- @Emergency doc: I see you haven't responded yet, and that you first erased my contribution without even knowing if it was valid. Don't you think this is rude? The information was good enough for the WP:FR where it was since quite sometime. The only thing I did was to put it on 3 other wikis. Please revert back my contribution, or explain WHY it's no good for DE, but fine for FR or EN… --Antoine2711 (Diskussion) 23:37, 12. Feb. 2020 (CET)
Follow up on your question and your deletion of my work
[Quelltext bearbeiten](from the discussion page of Emergency doc.)
You deleted my contribution without even understanding what I did, then you ask me what I did, I answered your interrogation in less than a day, and, more than a week after, you still haven't responded nor repaired what you did. My data was valid, actually something that was since long in the WP:FR, and just because it passed thru Wikidata, you deleted it. I don't want to do a editing war with you, but if you think this content is good for WP:FR but not WP:DE, can you tell me why? The list INSIDE the page of the Kino_(Bewegung) is a valid list of organization cells in the world for Kino. What do you need to know more? I understand a lot a people fear WD, since they don't know how it works and what it does, but it's actually a very powerful tool. I used it in this case because it enables to do a language appropriate list in 4 languages at the same time. And it will also help me a lot when I will update the list to add columns for other useful information. Please have the courtesy to answer me. Regards, Antoine --Antoine2711 (Diskussion) 03:16, 19. - Hello Antoine2711, sorry for not answering so long. The Problem with your edit was not the Information in the list itself. In the german language Wikipedia we don't want long Wikidata-generated Lists for static Information. Here You can find more Information About that. It would be no Problem, to insert the list in usual wikisyntax. I hope this helps. --Emergency doc (D) 14:44, 19. Feb. 2020 (CET)

Follow-up of long list in WP:DE
[Quelltext bearbeiten]@Emergency doc: I feel you don't quite understand what's the list content, and that you don't even understand what's the topic of the page. It's an organization, and they have branches all over the world. As it's not a corporate, but volunteers that work together, It's easy to see that it's something that touches a LOT of people around the world. You seams to suggest that putting that information in a textual form would be better, but it would take at least twice the size on the page, with no added value. This is a schematized information, that is much suited for tablular display, as it gives to the reader a « big picture » of where this movement is located in the world. If you INSIST that I do it in a textual form, I will do it, but it will be a far inferior result. I don't understand why germans would want an uglier display then english people. --Antoine2711 (Diskussion) 09:29, 14. Apr. 2020 (CEST)
