(Please forgive that I write in English, my German grammar has faded over the years).

The escutcheon (Wappen) shown has different colours. It is taken from Carl Arvid Klingspor:

    	Baltisches Wappenbuch
    	1890 

and he claims it belongs to the Ösel (Saaremaa) AND the Kurland branch. He calls them VON Budde, I haven't seen them use 'von'.

I guess Klingspor should be mentioned in the source-list.

'1740 erfolgte .. Immatrikilation ... Öselschen Ritterschaft (nr 13)...' Hmm, the last man of the Budde's known on Saarema was Johann to Tõlluste and Püha Landschaftshauptmann, he died in the winter 1684-85. Q: Genealogische Handb der baltischen Ritterschaften t Oesel.1935. s 470-71

Klingspor has a list of Saaremaa's Ösel's nobility in 1771 without Budde on p 25.

Margrethe Winterfeld - doubtfull

According to DAA Drewes Budde (-1517-) was married to Margrethe Winterfeld. This is possible, but it would be a social mesalliance, since the Winterfeld's were of higher estime. Anyway she was not mother to Henning, whose son Godslev was buried in Vadum Church near Aalborg, northern Jyllland, Danmark. The tombstone has 16 escutcheons (Wappen) for his forfathers, and there is no Winterfeld. She may be a Trampe or Brandt. Source: Steen Thomsen: Godslev Buddes 16 anevåben. @Dusdia: Hallo, wieder das leidige Thema: Da Rügen zu Pommern gehört, ist „pommersches Adelsgeschlecht“ kein Klammerzusatz, der eine sinnvolle Unterscheidung ermöglicht. Besser wäre hier „pommersch-dänisches Adelsgeschlecht“. Viele Grüße, --DynaMoToR (Diskussion) 11:31, 19. Feb. 2022 (CET)
