The sound of free knowledge – the Wikimedia sound logo contest

• Beschreibung: In this fun and exciting workshop, we will introduce the audience to the Wikimedia sound logo contest. In the land of Bach, Beethoven, and Strauss, we will unpack sound logos in general, listen to some submitted to the Wikimedia sound logo contest, and set the stage for the forthcoming public vote. There is a lot of expertise in the movement when it comes to photography contests and visual logo campaigns, but never a sound logo contest. We see this workshop as an opportunity to bring a new audiovisual layer to our ever growing content. The organizing team is excited to work with German-speaking Wikimedians as we collaborate to create the sound of Wikimedia. We are happy to repurpose this proposal to fit your timeslots. A workshop is preferred.
